Here are some tips to help you optimize your chance of defeating the Hydra!

Before the battle

1. Prioritize upgrading your Hydra Axe spell (available after completing Quest 1.18) as it deals significant damage to the monster (and eventually chops off one of its heads)!


2. Similarly, upgrading your Hero's Armor artifact reduces the damage caused by a Mythical Beast like Dalygos the Dragon or the Hydra—until the Armor breaks. Regular upgrades increase the protection you receive when fighting against Mythical Beasts!

During the battle

1. Stay vigilant of Hydra's Attacks - they can come from one head to three heads! A countdown counter ("Attack in X") is displayed below so you know when the monster's head(s) will strike. Use your Wand to cancel the attacks individually to prevent receiving damage from the Hydra.


Additionally, playing several Hydra Axe spells will eventually chop off its head, which is also an effective way to stop it from attacking. 

💡Keep a changed wand at ready whenever possible!

2. Play the Hydra Axe spell whenever possible to deal significant damage to one of the Hydra's heads until it is chopped off. When one of the Hydra's heads is severed, it won't be able to attack you until it regrows. Use this crucial window to deal more damage to the monster!
