When you tap on a monster in battle, you'll see a white circle under it. The white circle indicates that this monster is currently targeted. 


When using a Spell or Wand that attacks a single monster, all damage will be dealt towards the targeted monster. Below is an example showing the Magic Missile spell hitting the targeted monster. 


If you use a Spell or a Wand that deals damage to multiple monsters at once, the targeted monster will receive the most damage.

In the example here, if you play a Ballon Blast spell, it deals damage to all three monsters, but the Mandrake (the monster on the right) receives the most damage.
